After playing hockey at the top level for Ipswich and London, Louise applied for the Sporting Giants talent scheme advertised by Sir Steve Redgrave and got selected out of 3,800 applicants!

In January 2008 Louise moved to Denmark to a special handball academy and scored in her first international match for Great Britain. Funding cuts meant the academy had to close, and Louise says this was where Suffolk’s Sport Aid came to the rescue.
