Introduction
Olympics At an altitude of 2300 meters, Mexico was a great place for short events but very difficult for endurance competitors. Records were broken in all men's races that were 400 meters or shorter, as well as the long and triple jumps.
Paralympics
Held in Tel Aviv, a remarkable 750 athletes from 29 countries participated in these Games. Lawn Bowls, women's Basketball and the 100 meter men's wheelchair race were hosted for the first time. Roberto Marson of Italy won a record-breaking ten gold medals.

1972
Bill broke the British record at the 1972 Games and found a new world open up in sponsorship. Adidas bought the pints that night.
